COVID-19 Update

Many people in Illinois and the surrounding Chicagoland suburbs are highly concerned about the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. This is a concern not just in our area, but it is affecting people worldwide. Here are preventative measures Pinpoint Maintenance Inc. is taking to protect our team members as well as all our loyal customers in the Chicagoland suburbs of Illinois.

Pinpoint Team Protection

We are mandating all of our team members to wear gloves at all times while working. We want to make sure they stay protected and refrain from taking unnecessary risks for both themselves and those around them. We are advising all clothing worn while working be washed after each shift to ensure bacteria is not being transferred around, requiring all team members to stay home if sick, and encouraging all to follow the recommendations set forth on the CDC website.

Coronavirus Effective Products

We are complying with the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)â€â€Fighting Products. This is a list of products that have been pre-approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for use against emerging enveloped viral pathogens and can be used during the 2019 novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We are happy and willing to share any information in regards to what products Pinpoint Maintenance is using to help our Chicagoland customers.

What YOU Can Do To Protect Your Facility

Besides following the recommendations on the CDC website, Pinpoint Maintenance is offering cleaning and disinfecting services to make sure your environment is free of harmful viruses.

“Cleaning does not kill germs, but by removing them, it lowers their numbers and the risk of spreading infection.” – cdc.gov

“Disinfecting refers to using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. This process does not necessarily clean dirty surfaces or remove germs, but by killing germs on a surface after cleaning, it can further lower the risk of spreading infection.” – cdc.gov

  • Clean “Hot Spot” Areas

A deep clean of all “hot spot” areas of your facility can ensure facility is disinfected. This includes disinfecting frequently touched surfaces such as tables, light switches, door knobs, countertops, handles, desks, toilets, faucets, and sinks. Pinpoint Maintenance will make sure to use pre-approved Coronavirus fighting products so that you can be sure your areas are truly disinfected.

  • Deep Floor Cleaning

Hard surfaces such as tile or sealed concrete are easy to maintain, but can also be a haven for bacteria. Pinpoint Maintenance uses professional equipment to steam clean, rinse, extract, clean, sanitize and restore the floor. This extracts any trapped dirt and bacteria out of the floor and makes sure it does not fly up in the air as the floor is being walked on.

  • Grout Color Sealing

Color sealing is done after tile flooring has been professionally cleaned. It is used to penetrate the grout surface to create a protective barrier to repel oil and water-based liquids. Color sealers also contain constant acting mildewcides and other agents that inhibit the growth of bacteria and mildew. This offers immense health benefits by making your floors more sanitary.

  • Professional Carpet Cleaning

Using a hot water steam clean with Pinpoint Maintenance’s state of the art equipment and expert training will get that dirt and bacteria build up out of your carpets. With steam temperatures reaching up to 240 degrees F and pressures up to 500 psi, steam cleaners are effective at removing build-up, dirt, stains, pathogens like viruses, bacteria, mold, and allergens. During steam cleaning, steam vapor penetrates deep into carpet and surrounds carpet fibers to help soften and loosen dirt and shift old stains. Then the vacuum component of the steam cleaner applies pressure to lift away the moisture along with the germs and dirt, for fresher, cleaner carpets.
