1. During our first visit, we pre condition your deck with a specialized wood stripping (if necessary) & cleaning solution that will emulsify and breakdown soils and stains common to exterior decks so that they can then be cleaned away using low pressure high volume washing.

2. After the cleaning, we apply a product that will brighten the wood and also neutralize the pH. Neutralizing the pH helps to ensure that the stain we use forms the best possible bond with the wood.

3. After the deck has dried (weather pending), we come back and sand the horizontal surfaces. This not only removes imperfections in the wood and reveals a fresh layer, but also opens up the pores of the wood so that the wood will readily accept the stain.

4. Lastly, we stain your deck using an oil based semi transparent product that has a natural finish and exposes all of the wood grain. If your deck has a solid stain, we apply a primer so the new coat of solid stain gets the best possible bond and then apply the solid stain.
