The Tile Cleaning and Sealing Experience

Tile Cleaning and Sealing is something anyone with any kind of tile or stone floor should consider doing periodically. Many people know they want their carpet cleaning done periodically because of the trapped dirt and visible dirty appearance, but have you seen the color of your grout and tile change over the years? Although obviously much more durable and easy to maintain than carpet, stone flooring is just as important to clean. The maintenance crew at Edgewood Country Club in La Grange had the same thoughts and asked us to come in to clean and restore their locker room flooring.

The Challenge

Edgewood Country Club in La Grange has tile in their locker rooms and bathrooms. The tile they put in is stylish, but textured to help with traction and to prevent slip and falls. This was a good choice for a locker room and bathroom environment, but a difficult tile to keep clean due to the texture retaining dirt and being hard to clean. On the surface, the tile can have a dirty appearance even though it is cleaned thoroughly periodically. That’s where Pinpoint Maintenance and their state of the art tile cleaning equipment comes into play.

The Solution

Pinpoint Maintenance is the leading tile cleaning and stone cleaning service in the La Grange and surrounding areas. Pinpoint started by using a truck mount steam cleaner to steam clean, rinse, extract, clean, sanitize, and restore the floor. Doing so was able to extract that trapped dirt out of the tile restoring the tile to it’s original color. The grout was then carefully color sealed by the Pinpoint team with a grout color to match the tile and the floor was completely sealed with Neverstrip tile seal.

The Benefits

By color sealing the grout lines, the grout is now restored to it’s original color and is completely uniform. The sealing of the entire area with the Neverstrip tile seal will make the tile and grout much easier to clean and prevent that dirt and grime from getting into the tile and grout lines. The floor will stay clean longer and the appearance will look clean for years to come.
